Summary
Hitler invades Denmark and Norway on April 8th and 9th for two reasons; he feels that Britian threatened the steel that came from Sweden by declaring help for Finland. Second, It provided a better base for Germand U-boats. A month later, on May 10th Hitler attacked the 'low countries.' The Netherlands, Belguim and Luxemburg all took less than 20 days to surrender. Lexemburg only taking 2. The BEF and French tried to defend Belgium but took too long.
